Artificial Intelligence Delivery Unit (AIDU), AI Wing, Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), Government of the Punjab — Lahore
The Artificial Intelligence Delivery Unit (AIDU) of the Government of the Punjab has announced 78 posts across 40 positions in Lahore, in one of the largest specialist recruitments the province has advertised this year. The unit sits in the AI Wing of the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), and the advertisement appeared in the Daily Jang on 21 October 2026 under reference IPL-11159. The last date to apply is 12 November 2026 for both application routes. The posts range from a Chief Operating Officer and heads of data and responsible AI down to drivers, clerical staff and office attendants, so the advertisement carries something for master's graduates with a decade of experience and for Middle-pass drivers alike, provided each applicant applies for the post whose conditions they actually meet.
The recruitment is on a contract, project basis, and the advertisement describes the offer as highly competitive compensation packages and a chance to join a world-leading initiative, without printing any salary figure for any post. Professional posts generally need 16 years of education from an HEC-recognised university plus post-wise experience running from two years for video roles to twelve years for the unit head, and most professional posts give preference to foreign-qualified candidates with a proven track record. Support posts need Middle, Matric or Intermediate as specified. Applications for serial numbers 1 to 37 go online through the Punjab Job Portal, while serial numbers 38 to 40 (Driver, Clerical Staff and Office Attendant) apply by post to the Project Director in Lahore. Full job descriptions for every position are available on the unit's website, ai.punjab.gov.pk.

About Artificial Intelligence Delivery Unit (AIDU), AI Wing, Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), Government of the Punjab
The Artificial Intelligence Delivery Unit is the Punjab Government's delivery arm for artificial intelligence and data work, set up under the AI Wing of the Services and General Administration Department, the department that runs the province's civil administration. Where a traditional department delivers a single service, a delivery unit is designed to cut across departments: it builds data platforms, puts AI products into production use in government offices, checks that those products are safe and lawful, and measures whether they actually improve a public service. That cross-cutting mandate explains the shape of this advertisement, which hires the whole unit at once rather than one section at a time.
The unit's work falls into recognisable blocks, and the 40 positions map onto them. A leadership block (chief operating officer, heads of data and responsible AI, policy and legal advisers) sets direction and keeps the work lawful. A technical block (infrastructure architects, data scientists, AI and machine-learning engineers, data engineers, MLOps and cloud engineers) builds and runs the systems. A delivery block (pillar heads, product and deployment managers, delivery associates, management analysts) carries products into departments and proves they work. And a corporate block (finance, procurement, human resources, audit, branding, web, media and administration) keeps the unit itself running. Applicants should place themselves in one block first and then read that block's posts, because the experience bars differ sharply between blocks, from two years for a video editor to twelve years for the unit head.

Eligibility Criteria — Who Can Apply
- A degree from an HEC-recognised university or institution, exactly as the post's row states; 16 years of education for most professional posts.
- Post-wise experience as listed in the vacancy table, from two years for video roles to twelve years for the Chief Operating Officer / Delivery Unit Head.
- Foreign-qualified candidates with a proven track record are given preference for most professional posts, but every eligible applicant is invited to apply.
- The advertisement prints no age limit for any AIDU post; it sets education and experience conditions post by post instead.
- The advertisement prints no application fee for any AIDU post.
- Design and video posts need proof of work: senior graphic designers need a portfolio, and video editors and the videographer need a showreel.
- Support posts: Driver needs Middle or Matric plus a valid LTV licence (HTV preferred) and three years of driving experience; Clerical Staff needs Intermediate plus basic computer proficiency, typing and one year of clerical experience; Office Attendant needs Middle or Matric.
- All 40 positions are based in Lahore, and all are contract appointments on a project basis.
- Applicants must apply through the correct route for their serial number: online for Sr. 1 to 37, by post for Sr. 38 to 40.
Eligibility for AIDU posts is set post by post, and there is no single degree or experience bar that covers the advertisement. The professional posts almost all require 16 years of education from an HEC-recognised university in a field the post names, from public policy and law through computer science and data science to design and mass communication, and the experience bar rises with seniority: two years for video editors and the videographer, three years for web, social media, IT support and management analysts, four years for product managers, delivery associates, partnerships and design leads, five years for data engineers, analysts and branding specialists, seven to eight years for data scientists, architects, finance and procurement specialists, and ten to twelve years for the heads and the chief operating officer. Most professional posts give preference to foreign-qualified candidates with a proven track record, which is a preference, not a bar: the advertisement still invites every eligible applicant to apply in confidence, and a strong local record in the named field meets the post's own conditions.
Two features of this advertisement surprise applicants and both should be understood before applying. First, the advertisement prints no age limit and no application fee for any post, so there is no age band to check and nothing to pay; any page that quotes an AIDU age limit or fee is adding conditions the advertisement does not contain. Second, the support posts are genuinely open to school-level applicants, but they are not general vacancies: the Driver post needs a valid LTV licence with HTV preferred and three years of driving experience, Clerical Staff needs Intermediate with basic computer proficiency, typing and a year of clerical experience, and Office Attendant needs Middle or Matric with office-support experience preferred. The practical consequence is that applicants should choose one serial number, read its row in full including the experience years, and apply for that row only; a strong application for the wrong row, or an application sent through the wrong route, is the most common avoidable failure in a multi-post advertisement like this one.
Salary & Benefits
The advertisement offers highly competitive compensation packages, in its own words, and prints no salary figure for any of the 40 positions, so this article gives no rupee amount and no estimate. That restraint matters here more than usual, because secondary pages do attach rupee figures to AIDU posts. Those figures are market estimates made by the pages that publish them, not figures from the advertisement, and they differ from page to page; this article does not use them, and applicants should not treat any of them as an offer. What applicants can rely on is the structure: a contract, project-basis appointment with a compensation package set post by post, which the unit communicates to shortlisted candidates, and full job descriptions for every position published on the unit's website, ai.punjab.gov.pk, where the duties and seniority behind each package can be read before applying. No application fee is charged for any post, so no payment should be made to any person in connection with this recruitment.
Selection Process
Selection follows the route the advertisement lays down, and the route depends on the serial number. Applicants for serial numbers 1 to 37 apply online through the Punjab Job Portal, attaching scanned copies of their CNIC, educational certificates or degrees and experience letters, and portfolio or showreel links where their post asks for them. Applicants for serial numbers 38 to 40 (Driver, Clerical Staff and Office Attendant) send their application with the required documents by post to the Project Director, AIDU, AI Wing, S&GAD, Room 206, First Floor, New Minister Block, Lahore, and the application must reach that office by 12 November 2026, because late applications are not considered. The unit contacts only shortlisted candidates for interview, and no TA or DA is admissible for the interview. Incomplete applications, and applications received after the due date, are not considered. Queries go to the Project Director by email at pd.aidu@punjab.gov.pk.
Documents Required
- Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC), scanned copy.
- Educational certificates and degrees for the post applied for.
- Experience letters covering the years the post requires.
- Portfolio links, for design posts that ask for them (branding, senior graphic design, product and service design).
- Showreel links, for Video Editor and Videographer applicants.
- Valid LTV driving licence (HTV preferred), for Driver applicants, with driving-experience proof.
- Typing and computer-proficiency evidence, for Clerical Staff applicants.
- The completed application form with documents, for postal applicants (Sr. 38 to 40).
- Recent passport-size photographs.
- Domicile certificate, where the portal or the postal application asks for it.
- HEC equivalence certificate, for any foreign degree claimed.
- Any additional certificate the post's job description on ai.punjab.gov.pk asks for.
How to Apply — Step by Step
- First, find your post's serial number in the vacancy table above and note whether it falls in Sr. 1 to 37 (online) or Sr. 38 to 40 (postal).
- For Sr. 1 to 37: open the Punjab Job Portal at jobs.punjab.gov.pk and find your AIDU post.
- Fill the online form carefully, because the portal carries your whole application, and attach scanned copies of your CNIC, educational certificates or degrees and experience letters.
- Attach portfolio links for design posts and showreel links for video posts, where your post asks for them.
- Submit the online form on or before 12 November 2026.
- For Sr. 38 to 40 (Driver, Clerical Staff, Office Attendant): prepare your application with the required documents for your post.
- Send it by post to the Project Director, AIDU, AI Wing, S&GAD, Room 206, First Floor, New Minister Block, Lahore, so that it reaches the office by 12 November 2026; AIDU will not consider late applications.
- For queries, email the Project Director at pd.aidu@punjab.gov.pk, and read the full job description for your post on ai.punjab.gov.pk before applying.
The last date is 12 November 2026 for both routes, and the two routes must not be mixed up: online applicants for Sr. 1 to 37 use the Punjab Job Portal, while Driver, Clerical Staff and Office Attendant applicants (Sr. 38 to 40) apply by post, and a postal application must reach the Lahore office by the deadline, not merely be posted by it. Online applicants should submit a few days early, because the portal form must carry scanned documents with it. There is no application fee for any post, and the advertisement prints no age limit, so applicants should ignore any page that invents either condition.

Terms & Conditions
The advertisement carries the standard conditions of a project recruitment. Appointment is on a contract, project basis, and only shortlisted candidates are contacted for interview, with no TA or DA admissible. Incomplete applications and applications received after 12 November 2026 are not considered. The unit reserves the right to manage the recruitment process as the rules allow. No application fee is charged, so no payment should be made to any person for a promise of selection. Salary figures circulating on secondary pages are market estimates, not figures from the advertisement, and the compensation actually offered is the package the unit communicates for the post. Applicants should rely on the advertisement itself and on the full job descriptions published on ai.punjab.gov.pk, and should direct queries to the Project Director at pd.aidu@punjab.gov.pk.
