The Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced 250 vacancies through Consolidated Advertisement No. 09/2026 for departments of the Government of Balochistan. The recruitment covers three broad streams: 122 livestock and veterinary professional posts in the Livestock and Dairy Development Department, 118 Sub-Engineer posts in local government, public health engineering and communication and works departments, and 10 information technology posts in the Science and Information Technology Department. The last date to apply online is 11 November 2026. The application fee is Rs. 800 for BPS-16 and BPS-17 posts and Rs. 600 for BPS-11 posts, payable through a system-generated PSID on 1Link banking channels. Candidates must hold a Balochistan local/domicile certificate, and posts are distributed across merit and zonal quotas for Kalat, Zhob, Nasirabad, Mekran, Quetta Zone, Sibi and Quetta City, with reserved seats for women, minorities and persons with disabilities in several groups. Only candidates who meet the exact qualification, registration and domicile conditions for their post should apply, because the Commission warns that applications submitted without the required qualification or documents can cause serious difficulty for the applicant later.

About Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC)
The Balochistan Public Service Commission is the constitutional body that recruits civil servants for the Government of Balochistan. It was set up under the Balochistan Public Service Commission Act, 1989, and its functions are laid down in the Commission (Functions) Rules, 1995. Its core job is to conduct tests, examinations and interviews for initial recruitment to the provincial civil service in BPS-16 to BPS-21, and to any other posts the provincial government refers to it. The Commission works through specialised branches covering recruitment, examinations, results, research, regulation, administration, accounts, secrecy, information technology and human resources, and its office is located on Samungli Road, Quetta, near the railway crossing.
For candidates, the Commission is the single gateway to gazetted and officer-grade provincial posts: advertisements are published in newspapers and on bpsc.gob.pk, applications are submitted online, screening tests and written examinations are held in Quetta, and successful candidates are called for viva voce before final recommendation. The Commission's published guidance stresses that applicants must complete their online profile, including educational data and scanned degrees, before applying, and must keep their bank challan or fee receipt in safe custody to produce it at the examination. Because BPSC posts are permanent provincial government appointments, competition is intense, and the merit lists, zonal quotas and reserved quotas printed in each advertisement decide how every seat is filled.
Vacant Positions — Post-Wise Details
All 250 posts fall into nine advertised groups. The two livestock groups are published as combined totals only — the advertisement does not print separate seat counts for each designation inside them — while every other group carries its own exact figure. The table below lists each group with its scale and qualification.

Eligibility Criteria — Who Can Apply
- Balochistan local/domicile certificate is compulsory for all posts, and the zonal or reserved quota you claim must match your domicile record
- Livestock posts (BPS-17): DVM or BSc (Hons) in Animal Husbandry/Veterinary Science or equivalent from a recognised university, with valid registration with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC)
- Computer Instructor (BPS-17): second-division Master's in IT, Computer Science or Software Engineering; or four-year second-division Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT or Information Systems; or second-division engineering degree in a computer-systems discipline
- Hardware/Network Technician (BPS-16): at least second-division Bachelor's engineering degree in Computer Systems, with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration
- Computer Operator (BPS-16): at least second-division Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT from a recognised university
- Sub-Engineer posts (BPS-11): three-year DAE in the stated technology from a recognised board or institute; the BE Civil category instead requires a four-year Civil engineering degree
- Basic age limit 18–28 years, calculated on the closing date (11 November 2026); general upper-age relaxation up to 43 years applies to the categories specified in the advertisement
- Government servants with two years of continuous regular government service may receive relaxation up to 50 years under the advertised conditions
- Degrees, diplomas and registrations must be complete and valid by the closing date; foreign qualifications need equivalence from the competent authority
The first filter in this advertisement is domicile. Every post in Consolidated Advertisement No. 09/2026 is a Balochistan provincial post, so a Balochistan local/domicile certificate is not optional paperwork — it decides which zonal quota you can claim, and the Commission's own guidance warns that applications submitted without the required local/domicile, gender, religion or qualification conditions can cause serious difficulty later. Read the zonal table for your group before you apply: the 109-post livestock group, for example, is split 17 merit, 17 Kalat, 12 each for Zhob, Nasirabad, Mekran and Quetta Zone, 6 each for Sibi and Quetta City, and 5 each for disability, women and minority quotas. Applying against the wrong zone is a common reason for rejection at scrutiny, and it cannot be fixed after the closing date.
Qualification is the second filter, and it is group-specific rather than generic. Livestock candidates need a veterinary degree or an honours degree in animal husbandry plus valid PVMC registration — a general science degree does not substitute. IT candidates need the exact second-division degree the post names, and Hardware/Network Technician candidates additionally need PEC registration. Sub-Engineer candidates need the DAE in the exact technology named (Civil for local government and for the C&W DAE category; Civil, Electrical or Mechanical for public health engineering), while the six BE Civil seats require a four-year engineering degree. As a general rule in Commission recruitment, only qualifications from recognised universities, boards and institutes are accepted, and candidates with foreign degrees should hold equivalence from the competent authority before the closing date.
Age is calculated on the closing date, 11 November 2026, and the basic band is 18 to 28 years. The advertisement provides general upper-age relaxation up to 43 years for the specified eligible categories, and government servants with two years of continuous regular service may be relaxed up to 50 years under the advertised conditions. No relaxation beyond the limits specified in the advertisement is admissible, so do not assume a general five- or ten-year relaxation that the advertisement does not print. If you claim any relaxation, keep the supporting proof ready: the Commission requires verified documents at the viva voce stage, and a claim without proof is treated as ineligible.
Salary & Benefits
The advertisement does not print a monthly salary figure for any post, and no rupee amount should be quoted as if it came from the advertisement. Pay follows the Basic Pay Scale of each post: BPS-17 for the livestock professional posts and the Computer Instructor, BPS-16 for the Hardware/Network Technician and Computer Operator, and BPS-11 for all Sub-Engineer posts. In the provincial government pay structure, each scale carries its own basic pay, which rises through annual increments and government pay revisions, and officers additionally receive the allowances admissible under the rules in force, such as house rent, conveyance and medical allowances, along with any special allowances attached to the department or post.
What is certain is the nature of the appointment: these are permanent provincial government posts filled through the Commission, not short-term project contracts, so they carry the usual government service package, including pension and leave entitlements under the applicable rules. The exact take-home pay depends on the current pay revision, the allowances in force at the time of appointment and tax deduction. Treat any specific salary figure circulating on social media or third-party job pages as unverified unless it appears in the Commission's own advertisement or the appointment letter.
Selection Process
Selection begins with scrutiny of the online applications against the advertised qualification, domicile and quota conditions. Candidates who clear scrutiny are called for an MCQ screening or written test in the relevant subject or technology. Those who qualify the written stage are called for viva voce, which the advertisement describes as covering current affairs, general knowledge, Islamic/Religious Studies and Pakistan Studies alongside the candidate's subject. Relevant IT teaching experience is preferred for the Computer Instructor posts. Candidates must present their original CNIC and their admission certificate or roll number slip at the test, and candidates qualifying for viva voce must submit the required verified documents within the period the Commission specifies.
Preparation guidance: revise your subject or technology in depth, because the written test is subject-specific, and keep current affairs, general knowledge, Islamiat and Pakistan Studies ready for the viva voce. Download your admission certificate from bpsc.gob.pk as soon as it is placed on the website, and check the website and your SMS notifications regularly — the Commission intimates candidates through SMS as well, but the website remains the authoritative source for schedules.
Documents Required
- CNIC (original for the test; copy for the record)
- Balochistan local/domicile certificate
- All degrees, diplomas and detailed marks certificates / transcripts
- PVMC registration certificate (livestock posts)
- PEC registration certificate (Hardware/Network Technician post)
- Equivalence certificate, if any qualification is foreign
- Experience certificates, where the post prefers or requires experience
- Departmental permission / NOC, if you are already in government service
- Bank challan / PSID fee payment receipt, preserved in safe custody
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Admission certificate / roll number slip downloaded from bpsc.gob.pk
- Any quota-claim documents (women, minority, disability) where applicable
How to Apply — Step by Step
- Open the Balochistan Public Service Commission website (bpsc.gob.pk) and read Consolidated Advertisement No. 09/2026 in full, including the zonal and quota table for your post
- Create or complete your online profile on the Commission's website, entering your educational data and uploading scanned images of your degrees before applying
- Select the exact post and group you are eligible for, and confirm that your qualification, local/domicile certificate and quota eligibility match the advertisement
- Generate the PSID and pay the fee online: Rs. 800 for BPS-16 and BPS-17 posts, Rs. 600 for BPS-11 posts, through 1Link channels (mobile banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash, banking apps, ATMs or over-the-counter at supported branches)
- Submit the online application before 11 November 2026 and keep your application and payment records safe; no hard copy of the online application is required initially
- Do not send your bank challan or treasury receipt to BPSC — preserve it and produce it at the examination; check the website and SMS notifications for your test schedule and admission certificate
The closing date is 11 November 2026 and applications after the due date are not accepted, with no extra time allowed for postal transit. Apply early: the Commission's online form facility can be slow near deadlines, and your profile, documents and fee payment must all be complete before you submit. Never pay any agent who promises selection — the Commission's process is test- and interview-based, and only the official website and SMS channel carry genuine schedules.

Terms & Conditions
As is standard in Commission advertisements, only candidates who meet the prescribed qualification, domicile and quota conditions are considered, and only shortlisted candidates are called for the test and viva voce. Applications that are incomplete or received late are not considered, and information found incorrect at any stage — including after recommendation — can lead to cancellation of the candidature. Candidates must produce their original documents and fee receipt when required, and government employees must apply through the proper channel with departmental permission. No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the test or interview unless the advertisement states otherwise, and the Commission's decision in all matters of the recruitment is final. Quotas prescribed by the government, including women, minority and disability quotas, are observed as printed in the advertisement.
